Initial spray (paper test), smelled like when you first peel an orange or clementine. I immediately thought of nenuco in the old days. I can definitely detect the bergamot in the dry down and for some reason it kind of smelled leathery on me after an hour or so? I sprayed the Bal D’Afrique on my other wrist to compare and I find that the black currant note was stronger in the original perfume which dried down to this subtle barely-there amber that sat too close to my skin. But too close that I couldn’t even tell if I am smelling my skin na or the Byredo one. Medyo nakakaloka tuloy hehe. Limon wins in the longevity department and for its price compared to Bal D’Afrique, it’s not so bad. It’s not a complete dupe, if one is looking for an exact replica. But it has its own vibe and it focused more on the lemon-y (and leather?) notes. For those who just prefer clean girl/guy scents =)
